As the quality of the food we serve is important to us, we use the best of locally sourced products from suppliers such as Cranstons of Penrith, whose Traditional Cumberland Sausage won a Gold Award at this year's Smithfield Show.
Over a relaxing breakfast you can plan your day's activities here in the Lake District. We will be pleased to advise on what to see and do, where to find that special art gallery or acclaimed restaurant.
Unfortunately due to a very quiet season we will no longer be offering lunches and evening meals.

Terms & Conditions
A deposit of the full amount on stays for 1 night or the first nights stay as a deposit for 2 or more nights per room is required to confirm the booking.Credit card payments have a 1.5% surcharge, debit cards have no charge.All deposits are refundable with 72hours notice of the day of arrival.
The price payable includes accommodation and breakfast for the number of nights stated on your booking.Unless otherwise stated all extras with be charged additionally.
Cancellation:If you need to cancel your booking please notify us immediately.In the event of cancellation up to 72 hours before the arrival date the deposit is fully refundable.In the event of a ‘non arrival’ or ‘cancellation after arrival date’, the full cost of the stay as booked will be charged.
As we are unable to judge reasons for change, cancellation or non arrival we remind guests that a reservation, whether by telephone, in writing, on line or in person, constitutes a legally binding contract and we recommend that insurance be taken out in case of cancellation or curtailment of a booking.
If you need to amend your booking the deposit may be transferred to a future booking, subject to availability.We reserve the right to refuse a transfer.
We will always try to ensure that guests are accommodated in the rooms they have booked.If the room is unavailable for reasons beyond our control we reserve the right to transfer you to a different room, if this was not possible or unacceptable to you then you have to right to cancel the booking with a full refund.Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.If the new room is at a lower rate then the difference will be deducted from your final bill, if however the room is at a higher rate then you will not be charged the difference.
Arrival and Departure:Bedrooms are usually available for occupation from 4pm on the day of arrival (if you wish to arrive any earlier, you may register and leave any bags).Earlier check-ins may be available by prior arrangement and are subject to availability.We ask that guests telephone us to confirm their time of arrival either the evening before or on the morning of arrival to ensure that we can greet you personally.
We reserve the right to charge for a late check out
Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.Failure to do so may result in a charge for an additional nights stay.
Damages and Breakages:We are sure that you will take care whilst you stay with us and we acknowledge that accidents sometimes happen;please report these as soon as they occur.We do not normally charge for minor breakages but reserve the right to charge for any damage or breakage which we consider was deliberately or recklessly caused.If the damage is discovered after departure then an invoice for repair or making good will be sent to you.We also reserve the right to charge further sums if we are unable to re-let the room as a consequence of the damage.
Smoking:We are a totally non smoking establishment and any persons contravening this policy may be asked to leave immediately and charged for the full stay.There will be an additional charge of £150 for the deep cleaning of the room and we reserve the right to charge additional sums if we are unable to re-let the room as a consequence.
Special Requirements:Please advise us of any special dietary needs or other requirements prior to your stay.Whilst every effort is made to fulfil your request, unfortunately we cannot guarantee these and failure to do so will not constitute a breach of contract.
Sorry we do not accept pets.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicle or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.
The management reserve the right to charge a fee of £10 for early checkin.
